BOT (for iPad) launched today and it’s already off to a great start. When I checked earlier this morning, BOT was ranked #58 in Role-Playing — just ahead of Braveheart HD. Considering that I enjoyed iPhone version of Braveheart, I’m pleased with how the launch is going so far. Apple even got the “Release Date” listing right. But this is not enough! No, BOT needs more promotion! So, I’m giving away promo codes today! 🙂

Alternatives to Netflix
What happened Netflix? I used to be a big fan, but then you got greedy. In less than a year, I watched the price almost double. It was $8.99 for 1-DVD rental and Instant Streaming. Now those two services have been split up — costing $7.99 each. Unfortunately, I don’t think either service is strong enough to be separated. Receiving DVDs by mail is a slow process and Netflix’s Instant Streaming library is weak. At $15.98, the alternatives start to look a lot better.

BOT
BOT is a science-fiction adventure game. Play as TANK, a giant — and sentient — machine. TANK defends the remaining human population from the hostile AI. Carrying with a machine gun and a sword, TANK is well armed. He can defeat enemies to collect coins and defeat boss enemies to collect upgrades. Once all the upgrades are found, “Survivor” mode becomes accessible. How long can you last?
BOT Preview Screenshots
BOT has been a super secret project for months now. Despite constant requests for in-game screenshots, the game was shrouded in secrecy. It was tough to say no to these requests. I stopped myself for a few reasons. Part of it was to protect the content from theft. The other was uncertainty. Is this game really going to be great? As the secrecy continued, uncertainty increased. I wondered if people would actually like my game. But eventually, the demand for screenshots was too loud to ignore. So, at last, here are six screenshots from BOT.
