Free Template Tuesday #18 – Tumult Hype “Wavy”

Animated waves and jumping fishPhotics means “the science of light”, particularly in areas of water just below the surface. The “photic zone” is where photosynthesis can occur. Therefore, if this website had a mascot, a fish would be appropriate. Perhaps one day this site will have a logo again and maybe even a mascot. But one thing is almost a certainty. There’s a fish in the printed edition of A Book About Hype. That’s what this week’s free Hype template is about — using Hype to easily animate a fish.

Apparatuses Launches on New Year’s Day 2020

Apparatuses ThumbnailHAPPY NEW YEAR! 🥳
While there is some debate as to the official start of the decade, here at Photics.com the event is celebrated today. If for no other reason, now there’s a normal nickname for the decade — the 20s or the 2020s. Woo hoo! In looking for a significant way to celebrate, a new app was launched — Apparatuses. That’s Latin for “in the year of our lord”. Even if you use “CE” (Common Era), instead of “AD”, the calendar’s starting point is the same. Jesus is the origin point.

Widgets – Version 2.1 Update

Widgets App Icon – Fiery ThumbnailThis update is a milestone. Widgets is now in 2.x territory. That means the app is becoming more refined. Major issues are being resolved. Looking back, Apple’s been a big part of that success. Their tech support has been legendary. I rejoined the Apple Developer Program last May. Since then, Apple resolved four of my technical issues. Looking at my “App Development” folder in Thunderbird (my email client), there are 48 messages from “Apple Developer Technical Support” just this year.
