Now that “A Book About Hype” is complete, I’ve been wondering what should be my next big project. I’m not quite sure yet. So while I’m figuring it out, I thought that I’d create some free Tumult Hype templates to help promote the book. The idea is that I’ll release a new one every Tuesday. With Hype, it’s fairly easy to create new templates, so I might be able to maintain this routine for at least a little while.

“A Book About Hype” launched yesterday. While that is an exciting occasion, the moment of truth happens on the following day. When I woke up this morning, all blurry eyed, I reached over to my nightstand and grabbed my iPad. After months of hard work, I was curious to see the sales. On iTunes, a strong launch is critical. Otherwise, thousands of other content creators will crush the project. I was delighted to see that the new book wasn’t crushed. Instead, it was off to a good start.
Photics.com is approaching its 17th anniversary. This website has been around for a long time. Throughout the years, thousands of people have created accounts for the various services available. Unfortunately, not all of those accounts were legitimate. Because this site is popular, spammers are going to spam. As the attacks have grown, registration has become more complex. If it seems more difficult than usual to register for this website, I’m not trying to be a jerk. I’m trying to protect the site.
I usually avoid discussing politics on this website, but Donald Trump is pretty hard to ignore. He’s everywhere and he’s still leading in the polls. It’s not just the “Summer of Trump”. There’s the strong possibility that Trump could be the next president of the United States. If so, would that be a good or bad thing? I’ve been following Trump’s campaign. Despite some train wreck moments, I like what I’m seeing overall.

There’s been some bad news in the land of iOS. Apparently, some apps were hijacked for nefarious deeds. This was accomplished via an evil copy of Xcode – Apple’s development software. Developers using “XcodeGhost” were unknowingly adding bad code to their software. Apple has removed these corrupted apps from the app store and is advising developers on how to avoid this problem from happening again.
