BOT #1 - Article ThumbnailIt was a bit of a struggle with Apple to get “Project: Salvage” approved, but Apple finally gave the OK. BOT #1 is now available on the iTunes App Store. This entertainment app is a graphic novel / comic book. The story is based on the storyline from BOT. If you’ve played the game, but you wondered what was going on, this app was made for you. Additionally, this app is a way to promote the game. BOT #1 is a free app and a great introduction to this sci-fi adventure.

Game Creation Log – A Fiery Pinball

TANK holding a fiery pinballWhile I’m waiting for Apple to approve “Project: Salvage”, I figured that I should stay productive. It’s been tough to decide what’s the best project for me to work on. I decided to create a pinball game. Some might think that this is a waste of time, as it’s been done before or it’s not the hot thing on the App Store. Yet, I disagree. Pinball games are fun and I was having trouble finding one that I liked — either for Mac or iOS. So, I decided to make my own.

“Project: Salvage” — Too Hot For iTunes?

BOT - Is it too hot for iTunes?In order to increase popularity of BOT, I started working on “Project: Salvage”. That’s the code name for my secret app. It was recently reviewed by Apple. But much to my surprise, it was rejected. Apparently, I made the app a bit too sexy for iTunes. I thought I was being incredibly conservative with the way I presented the app. So, I had to go back and cover up some things.

Cheering The Slow Death of Physical Media

Disc illustration - Article ThumbnailIs it disk or disc? If Apple gets their way, it won’t matter. Optical storage media will be obsolete. Computer files will be stored in the cloud… a magical place where relics of the past do not exist.  Free yourself of worldly goods, material things do not matter in the cloud. It’s like some sort of spiritual enlightenment. Yet, I find myself suspicious. Is this utopian future really better for me? Is the cloud more trustworthy than a CD, DVD or Blu-Ray disk… disc… thing?
