Apple’s 2013 World Wide Developers Conference

World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC 2013) ThumbnailThe World Wide Developers Conference is where Apple shows off its new toys. It’s also a mecca for developers. The week long conference is a place where tech-head can learn about Apple technology. It’s serious business. Even at $1600 a ticket, the event was sold out in little over a minute. So, it’s no surprise that I didn’t attend. However, I did watch the Keynote speech online and I liked what I saw. I’ve been wondering if Apple can survive in a post-Jobs era. Today, I saw encouraging signs that it can.

Sonic The Hedgehog Review (iOS version 2.0 – 2013)

Sonic the Hedgehog Title Screen - Thumbnail ImageIt doesn’t feel like it to me, but Sonic The Hedgehog is over two decades old. And in the early 90’s, it would have been inconceivable for me to imagine such an incredible – and portable – port. The 2013 iOS version of Sonic The Hedgehog is better than the original. Bringing Back Bot

BOT - ThumbnailI have great plans for this website — like launching another book and creating an online arcade — but I’ll have to grind through some tedious work first. I’m thinking about bringing back BOT. This could be the first complete game in the new Photics Arcade. But to do that, I’ll have to port the project from GameSalad to Stencyl. It’s quite mundane work, but I’m making great progress. I’ll be posting comments in this post about my progress, so you can follow along.

Robot Combat League – Rise of The Machines

Robot Combat League LogoRecently I was wondering, “Where are all the good Sci-Fi shows?” Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, isn’t there some other Star ____ show to watch? Unfortunately, reality shows seem to dominate the dial. Why take a risk on an expensive fantasy show when it’s cheaper and easier to make shows about karaoke or partying at the Jersey Shore?  This is why I’m surprised by Robot Combat League. It has the reality show format, but it feels quite unique.
